In this short video Chris Ryan shows you a very simple yet effective method of controlling the trajectory of your pitch shots to enable you to get closer to the flags next time you play.

Having the ability to hit the ball on either a higher or lower flight is so important when faced with the challenges that the golf course sets you.

  1. Love the short and simple videos, Chris, but I’d like to add one, small thing to complement the video. Adding a short summary of when the two different shots are used would help players reflect on when to use which.

  2. Great lesson again the high one for me very easy now I have an idea for the low chip and now know what to practice. That’s why you are one of the best

  3. Chris, I just noticed that with your wedges and irons, you don’t take much of a divot. In fact, in some of your iron videos it looks like you are just clipping the top of the grass. That’s how I hit my irons and wedges (and I’m not saying that’s necessarily right, it’s just what I do). Some pros (Annika comes to mind) seem to take healthy divots with their irons and wedges, even if it’s a short pitch. What are you thoughts on that? Thanks!!!
